
Women have finally begun to realize that pelvic floor health is of utmost importance and that it should be a priority in our lives. Kegel exercises are a key tool for maintaining a strong and healthy pelvic floor. Kegel exercises consist of rhythmically contracting and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles with the purpose of strengthening them; doing so we to treat urinary incontinence, decrease the risk of prolapse, prepare for delivery and improve the quality of intercourse but let’s be honest, we find it hard to perform them with the necessary diligence and dedication and it is very common for us to start our exercise routines with good spirit and enthusiasm but soon abdicate.
For a few years now there have been devices called vaginal trainers to help us perform our Kegel exercise routines in a fun way. They come in various designs but the general idea is that they are inserted into the vagina and they help us with our contractions and relaxation. The coolest ones have an electronic hardware that connects to an App that tells us if we are doing our Kegels right, and how much progress we are making. Pelvic fitness trackers, so to speak.
